Thursday 22 October, 7.00 to 8.30pm, online.

Our guest is Barbara Roche. Barbara was a barrister, then the MP for Hornsey and Wood Green for thirteen years and a minister in Tony Blair's government, including Minister for Women. Having done all of that, she has returned to university to study for a PhD in philosophy, the subject she first read at Oxford.

This month's theme is Recognition. I will be asking Barbara what she has carried with her from each part of her working life, what she chose to set down, and what it has been like to begin something entirely new, on purpose. Afterwards we move into small groups, each with women from different fields, so that everyone can take the question a little further for herself.

The evening is for women who have built substantial experience over a career, in any field. There is no charge. Register below and the joining details will come straight to your inbox.

The Athenae is a selective membership for accomplished women from different fields. You are very welcome to come simply for the evening.

Hosted by Lynn Mackay-Thomas, founder of The Athenae.
