Wednesday 9 December, 7.00 to 8.30pm, online.

Our guest is Helen Nellis. Helen was Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire from 2012 to 2022, the first woman to hold the role in five hundred years. Before that she was a barrister, chaired Bedfordshire Health Authority and Bedford Hospitals NHS Trust, and worked in senior executive search. She now coaches leaders at board level.

December’s theme is Presence. I will be asking Helen how presence is built in a role that runs on it rather than on power, what it is for, and what stays with you when the title goes. Afterwards we move into small groups, each with women from different fields, so that everyone can take the question a little further for herself.

The Salon is for members of The Athenae and their guests. If you would like to come as a guest, write to [email protected] and I will send you the details.

The Athenae is a selective membership for accomplished women from different fields.

Hosted by Lynn Mackay-Thomas, founder of The Athenae.
